An opportunity for twelve translators (six German-Spanish and six Spanish-German) to present and discuss their translations-in-progress, and to build lasting collegial bonds between professional literary translators in Spanish-speaking and German-speaking countries.
What are we talking about when we talk about contemporary argentinean literature?

Within the context of the TyPA Editor´s week two fundamental activities for the publishing sector have come to an end: the professionals training and the VI Rights Market.
We believe that the greatest books can travel the world and that the greatest editors are necessary to facilitate those travels. For that reason, we invite ten foreign editors and translators to Buenos Aires every year so that they may be submerged within the city´s local, literary world.

Workshop with Argentine writer Guillermo Saccomanno and translator Svenja Becker to peek behind the curtains of the proces of a translation.
Workshop about texts that invited Argentine translators are currently translating, together with a group of selected translators.

Julia Giser and Scenja Becker were the translators selected to reside in Berlin and Buenos Aires for one month to work on their translation projects.
This is an opportunity to better understand the role of this program and it´s objective to diffuse Argentine literature throughtout the world.
This is the tenth consecutive edition of this program. More than one hundred foreign editors and translators have already visted Buenos Aires, have soaked in the Argentine literature, and have allowed for it´s spread across the world.
Organized by the TyPA Foundation in the International Book Fair in Buenos Aire, 27 publishers and local agents present their catalogue with the ovjective to sell the rights of the author.
Following the line of the X TyPA Editor´s week, this activity aims to make the participation of local editors in the commerce space of the International Book Feria of Buenos Aires more efficient.

Eighth edition of TyPA Editor's week began on Sunday 18th of mai, accented by an inclement weather.
Twelve participants- six translators from german to spanish and six tranlators from spanish to german- analyzed texts presented throughout the working days.

Seven professionals representatives from the argentinean publishing world visited Frankfurt booj fair, 2009.
TyPA Fundation was invited as the only latinamerican presenter among nineteen other principal speakers.
Argentinean participation as a prominent guest in Frankfurt Book's Fair, in 2010, revived the interest for translation and facilitated a new boost to transaltion between Anrgentina and Germany. This was the main reason to organize this workshop.
TyPA Fundation organized the handing over of the prize in Argentina, with Sontag Fundation.
This project is part of TyPA policies: to improve approaches in the cultural area.
Europe, USA, Brasil, Israel and speakers of international publishing houses like the Random House Mondadori, got together in this VII TyPA Editor's Week.
